Katherine Stanek is the founder and owner of Stanek Gallery, a leading contemporary fine art gallery known for its rigorous exhibition program and commitment to artistic excellence. With a background as a professionally trained sculptor, Stanek brings a highly informed, artist-centered perspective to her role as a gallerist, shaping a program that emphasizes technical mastery, innovation, and meaningful engagement with contemporary practice.
After completing her studies at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts on a four-year merit scholarship, Stanek quickly established herself within the gallery world through extensive exhibitions in respected institutions, museums, and sculpture gardens both nationally and internationally. Her experience as a working artist continues to inform her curatorial vision and the gallery’s distinctive voice.
In 2015, recognizing a need for stronger institutional support for contemporary figurative and representational artists, Stanek founded Stanek Gallery in Philadelphia. Under her leadership, the gallery has grown into a prominent platform for established and emerging artists, presenting museum-quality exhibitions and fostering connections between artists, collectors, and curators. The gallery has opened a second space in Miami, and its program has earned recognition for its depth, scholarship, and ability to engage both regional and international audiences.
