"I am a painter working primarily in oil. I paint every day objects, interior spaces, nature and places that I come across daily. Painting these things elevates the ordinary to a new level of importance. I can be captivated by a space, a room or chair or object in that room. An empty room can have so much to say.

"My style is dictated by the painting. I often begin with a realistic depiction of my subject and then deconstruct it, leaving the essence of the subject to shine."
