PHILADELPHIA—Mary Cantone, owner of the William Ris Gallery along with Bill Horin, founder and director of ArtC and Stanek Gallery present Bridges, an exhibition which spotlights the work of a thriving and powerful community of artists living and working in southern New Jersey. Though richly diverse, this collection of art comes together seamlessly, bridging the gap between representational and conceptual imagery, connecting tradition with abstraction, past with present, dream with reality.

Mary Cantone, owner and director of the William Ris Gallery, has carried on the tradition of celebrating the visual arts which began with her family over four decades ago. The gallery, located in Stone Harbor New Jersey, recently opened William Ris East in Jamesport, New York on Long Island’s North Shore.

“For forty-five years the William Ris Gallery has had a presence in Stone Harbor, NJ.  It's been a privilege to know some of the finest Southern Jersey artists. As the gallery continues to grow and extend its reach I will proudly represent them at my new location in Jamesport, NY on Long Island.”  Mary Cantone

Bill Horin, a professional photographer headquartered in Linwood, N.J.,   is the founder and director of ArtC, an organization dedicated to promoting the arts in southern New Jersey. Mr. Horin is also the founder of ArtBeat and EnvisionArts Magazine.

“This is such a great opportunity to showcase work by some of South Jersey's best artists in a remarkable Philadelphia exhibition space. ArtC's mission is to shine a light on the arts of South Jersey and what better place to do that than the Stanek Gallery. Really looking forward to this.”  Bill Horin

Stanek Gallery, located in the heart of Philadelphia's historic Old City, was founded by Katherine Stanek and Deborah Fine, both working artists of national and international acclaim, to reinvent the gallery experience and become a pre-eminent force in Philadelphia's art landscape.
